Co-written with Canadian songwriter Dale Giffen, "I Am Home" is a heartfelt Americana song that captures the sense of security and well-being found in the presence of a loved one. The track opens with guitar strumming the song's tuneful hook, followed by Darren's warm, resonant voice. As the song progresses, it crescendos to an intense peak with rich harmonies and a driving rhythm. Darren recorded and produced the song himself while mixing and mastering was handled by sound engineer Brian Scheuble, known for his work with artists like Dave Matthews, Tom Petty,  and Sheryl Crow.

The song's artwork was created by Angelo HIlton who also designed the cover for The Bradbury Press's album "Live at the Crocodile."

Born and raised in Seattle, Washington, Darren began playing music in middle school, heavily influenced by the local music scene and the acoustic rock genre. He started with the piano, spending much of his time composing songs and experimenting with recording equipment. After high school, he formed his first band, In-Between, which played small bars and coffee shops around the Seattle area.

Following In-Between, Darren co-founded The Bradbury Press, performing together from 2000 to 2009. Starting at a small pub called Engels in Edmonds, WA, the band soon began packing notable Seattle venues like the Tractor Tavern and the Showbox, and performed at major festivals such as Bumbershoot and the Seattle Music Fest.

The band released three records, including a live album recorded at the iconic Crocodile Cafe in 2008. Touring extensively throughout the western and southern United States, they shared stages with acts like The Paperboys, Mike Doughty, The Samples, and Brandi Carlile, who later won multiple Grammy awards.

Darren took a leave from performing and moved to Boston to pursue a career in medicine. He is currently practicing as a nurse in San Diego while continuing to write and record music.
